The Leicester Square City Quarter, London

In 2007, Westminster City Council held a design competition seeking a new public realm design for Leicester Square.  Burns + Nice were the successful urban designers and the £12 million project was finished in good time for the 2012 Olympics, showcasing the best of British to the rest of the world.  We oversaw the tree protection during the works, ensuring that all the centerpiece London plane trees were successfully retained to complement the hard landscape improvements.
